5th Grade Linocut

Buffalo Elementary 5th graders are participating in the St. Ambrose "Make it Big IV" event. We received a 32" x 36" piece of linoleum. Professor Joseph Lappie came to Buffalo for a demonstration on the carving process. Each student created an image that represented a future goal and transferred their image to the piece of linoleum using carbon paper. Using linoleum cutters, the students carved out their design. Our linoleum was rolled with ink and printed by the drum roller at St. Ambrose.
